Obituary for Katheryn Ann Smith (Longmire)

My life’s companion and wonderful wife, Katheryn Ann Smith, passed away in my arms on 16 September 2022. Words cannot reveal the pain and loss I am experiencing. 60 years ago I promised her father that I would always take care of her and I did with passion and love. My mission is now complete. She is now in God’s hands. I will find some solace in my memories of her and our life’s story we wove into a beautiful tapestry that I will forever cherish in my heart. I long already for her touch, her laugh, holding hands, just watching her sitting next to me, sharing our thoughts with each other, and so much more. The long goodbye…. God’s Speed my love. Until we are together again I am your “prince in shining at armor” and you are “My Lady”. We will be “east of the Sun and West of the moon.” Goodbye until then “My pussycat nose girl.” Toad Hall will never be the same without you. From your Toad, Stan.
Katheryn was born on January 16, 1943. She attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1965, with a degree in Political Science.
Katheryn leaves behind her husband Stanley J. Smith, her son Richard C. Smith, son Robert Smith as well as her grandchildren Desiree’, Zachary and Dylan.
