James William Simmons III was born in Jacksonville, Florida to his parents Marguerite Arrington-Simmons and James Simmons Jr. He grew up with a love for fishing and a great passion for his work as a carpenter. James passed peacefully at home in the arms of his daughter on January 2, 2021 at the age of 59. James was preceded in death by his father James Simmons Jr. His survivors include his mother Marguerite Simmons, his daughter Brandy Warner, his sons James Simmons IV and Jacob Simmons, his sisters Elizabeth Simmons, Jamie Link, and Renee Caldwell, his son-in-law Jeremy Warner, his grandchildren Masyn Warner, Caleb Warner, Liam Warner, and soon to be Baby Simmons along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Promise Land Baptist Church, 10343 Normandy Blvd. , Jacksonville, Florida 32221.
