Brenda Freeman, a life-long resident of Jacksonville and Glen St. Mary, Florida was called home
to be with the Lord on July 29, 2022, just 2 days after celebrating her 56th birthday. Brenda was born to the
late Clyde Marvin Rewis and Eva Mae McCorkel Rewis, a welder and a homemaker, in Jacksonville, Florida
on July 27, 1966. She married her highschool sweetheart, Robert Freeman, whom she shared the same
middle name “Lee”, on June 2, 1984 and attended Paxon Sr. High School through 1985.
Brenda loved wholeheartedly, but never let you forget she had a feisty side as well; defending the people she
loved with a fierce love and protection. She was a huge fan of the Memphis street racer “JJ Da Boss” and
cherished her beloved dogs Chi-Chi Lee, BB Lee, ZZ, Scooter and Cocoa. Brenda is survived by her husband,
Robert Freeman of 38 years (Glen St. Mary); her sons, Timothy (Jennifer) and Taylor (Nadia), both of
Jacksonville; her daughter, Breanna Freeman of Glen St. Mary; 5 grandchildren: Jaydon Freeman,
Calie Freeman, Ganessa Freeman, Ava Freeman and Camari Freeman; her brother, Clyde (Bubba) Rewis
(Becky) of Callahan; her sister, Wendy Kimbrell (Johnny) of Jacksonville; as well as numerous cousins,
nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Eva Rewis.
A covered-dish Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the
Masonic Lodge in Callahan, FL located at 45085 Frank Brookins Dr. Callahan FL 32011
(directly behind the fire station) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
