Annie Clara Reid-Tillman, born September 12, 1933 to the late Sherman and Avery Reid in Thomasville, Georgia where she was raised. She married Melvin Tillman and moved to Jacksonville, Florida as a young adult. On September 28, 2021 at 9:25 A.M she passed from planet earth at Ascension St. Vincent's hospital while receiving hospice care.
Annie is immensely missed by her loving family and friends. I remember my mother Annie for her kindness, tasty cooking, hospitality, warm smile, honor for her brothers and sisters, love for family and friends and most of all for her meekness.
Mourning Annie's earthly passing is her daughter, Melvina Reid-Brown; sisters, Willie Mae Ledbetter, Juanita Frederick of Thomasville, GA; brothers, Benjamin Morris, Sr.(Geraldine),Marshall Morris of Thomasville, GA, and Wilbert Morris(Hollis) of Atlanta, GA.; 3 great grandchildren and 1 grandson; Annie was predeceased by her brothers, Sherman Reid, Eddie Morris, Michael Morris and Elbert Morris. She loved them dearly. Annie had 7 brothers and 2 sisters who gave her numerous nieces and nephews who she treasured. Those who knew her best are transmitting their love.
